The campus also includes sports and recreational facilities including a basketball court and a gymnasium. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, with 24*7 connectivity.

The academic block of the Faculty of Management Studies offers fully air-conditioned, spacious class rooms with LCD projectors as well as faculty rooms, tutorial rooms and a language lab.

OUAT – Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology was established in the year 1962 under the provisions of the Orissa Act, 20 of 1961 and has the triple functions of teaching, research and extension education. The University offers educationat the undergraduate and post-graduate levels in Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Fishery Science, Home Science, & Forestry in the semester system. Research and Extension programmes are carried out at the Regional Research & Technology Transfer Station (RRTTS) and/or Sub-stations/ Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) located in different parts of the Orissa,besides the Central Research Station at Bhubaneswar.

UG/PG Courses

Applications in prescribed form are invited in the month of March from the eligible candidates of the State of Odisha/NRI for admission into B.Sc. (Ag) for both boys & girls through a Common U.G. Entrance Examination conducted by the university. The admission notice is published in local daily news papers and OUAT website (http://ouat.ac.in)

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: Passed or appearing +2 Science / Equivalent Examination with minimum of 50% and 40% marks in aggregate (Including 4th Optional) in case of General and SC/ST Category respectively.

AGE: Must be 17 (seventeen) years of age as on 31st December of the academic year. The details on admission procedure can be seen in the prospectus.

The North Orissa University (NOU) was established in the year 1998 vide Government of Orissa notification No.-32930/HE dated 13th July 1998.The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC Act,1956 with effect from 15.02.2000 and 21.06.2006,respectively.It is recognized by Bar Council of India and DEC,IGNOU/UGC. North Orissa University is included in the list of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities. The University is also accredited by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore with B grade with effect from 10th January, 2011. The territorial jurisdiction of the University covers Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts of northern part of Orissa. These two districts are thickly populated with tribal population with an average of 63% inhabitants belonging to the Scheduled Tribes. There are 80 affiliated colleges, both general and professional, catering to the demand of higher education. The Central University of Orissa,Koraput has been established by the Parliament under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (No. 3C of 2009). It is one of the 15 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan period to address the concerns of “equity and access” and as per the policy of the Government of India to increase the access to quality higher education by people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrollment Ratio of less than the national average of 11%. Koraput District of Orissa comes within the KBK region (Koraput, Bolangir and Kalahandi) which is still considered as an extremely as underdeveloped region of the State of Orissa .These three districts of the State are known for tribal culture, because majority of the people here belong to ST and SC categories. Since there is no University or any other national level educational set up in this region the Central University is proposed to be established here so that it may widen the access to quality higher education in the country.
