Please note that no reason will be given for rejection of an application. The French Embassy is not obliged to respond to candidates whose applications are incomplete. Incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration.

Applicant must:

be an Indian national and reside in India
be a student currently enrolled at an Indian Institution of higher learning or a young professional employed in a company for a maximum of 3 years at the time of application
be 30 years old maximumat the time of application
the course must take place in France. If you have one semester or more of studies in another country, the scholarship will not be provided during that period.
An exception will be made for Charpak scholarship holders who are currently completing their M1 in France. They may reapply for a second year of funding in order to complete their M2. There is no automatic renewal of the scholarship at the M2 level. Acceptance will be subject to academic performance at the M1 level and a new statement of purpose.
Non-scholarship holders currently pursuing M1 in France are not eligible for the scholarship.

Selection Procedure

Your application will be selected on the basis of your academic excellence, as well as the consistency and quality of your statement of purpose. There is no CGPA / percentage cut-off for the scholarship. Knowledge of French will be an asset but is not mandatory. A tie-up between your current Indian institution and your future French institution will also be an asset.

Your statement of purpose should explain why you chose the French institution to which you have applied or have been admitted, as well as your future plans upon completion of the course. Explain why you would be a worthy candidate for the scholarship. Mention how you initially came to know about the Charpak program. Your statement of purpose should be one page long (maximum length). Important – ensure that your statement of purpose is original.

Step 3: Submit

Send the following documents to scholarship.france@gmail.com :

Application form duly filled, signed, printed and scanned
Scanned copy of the first page of your passport (with photo and expiry date). If you will be getting your passport after the deadline, please attach passport application proof.
Full Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages)
Scanned copy of the admission/acceptance letter from the French higher education institution. If you have not received it before the deadline, attach an email correspondence to show that you are in the process of getting the acceptance letter from them.
Attested (by a gazette officer or the Head of the institute where you studied/are studying) scanned copies of mark sheets of Higher Secondary School (XII), Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (including those of completed semesters of the ongoing degree)
French language certificate if any (from Alliance Française in India or any recognised university or Xth marks card if French was your second language)

The subject of your message to scholarship.france@gmail.com should mention the type of program you are applying to i.e. Masters. Photos of documents instead of clear scans will not be accepted.

Charpak Master Program Scholarships

This scholarship is designed for one to two years of studies in France at the Master’s degree level for all streams and fields of study.

The Charpak Master Program offers two kinds of scholarships based on merit:

a) Charpak AME Scholarship (Allocation Mensuelle d’Entretien):
• Living allowance 615 euros
• Medical insurance coverage (approx 300 euros / academic year)
• Student visa fee waiver (16,500 INR approx)
• Assistance to find affordable student accommodation

Note: Full tuition fee waiver at public universities or partial tuition fee waivers by other institutions, can be granted according to their individual policies

Higher Education Letter No: 31038, Dated: 03-11-2016 The Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha in association with the World Bank will be working on a project that aims to strengthen the capacity and improve governance of the Higher Education Sector in the state and also work towards providing equitable access and quality to selected Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The project invites Expression of Interest (EOI) with detailed curriculum vitae from interested and experienced individuals. The main objective of hiring individual consultants is to support the Project Management Unit (PMU) which is to be set up by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha for this World Bank assisted project. SOAS Charles Wallace India Fellowship

SOAS Charles Wallace India Fellowship, 2016-2017

Who is the fellowship for:One fellowship is awarded annually by the SOAS South Asia Institute (SSAI) and the Charles Wallace India Trust to a scholar who has had no, or little opportunity, to conduct research outside India. The 3 month placement at SOAS, University of London should be taken predominantly during term-time (January–May).

Who is eligible?:Applicants must be Indian nationals and be residing in India at the time the application is submitted.

Applicants must have completed a PhD and must be working in the fields of ‘India Studies’ (Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences) which are supported at SOAS. For a list of subjects please check the Taught Masters programmes on the SOAS website. Applicants may not hold the Fellowship for the purpose of, or in conjunction with, enrolment in any Higher Educational Institution in the United Kingdom (including SOAS).

Applicants must be in the early to middle stage of their academic careers.

Candidates must demonstrate sufficient English language ability, both written and spoken, to participate in discussions and use resource materials.

Applicants must state if they are in receipt of any other grant, or are awaiting results of other applications. Failure to do so may result in the fellowship being withdrawn.

The 3 month visiting Fellowship is intended:

To contribute actively to the Institute’s research environment;
To provide SSAI members and research students with the opportunity to work with leading academics from outside SOAS;
To develop and promote links with academic institutions in India; and
To offer academics from India the opportunity to collaborate in joint research with SSAI colleagues.
Visitor Contribution
Visitors are expected to give a talk in the Institute’s seminar series and take part in the general intellectual life of the School (e.g. active participation in seminars). They may also be asked to contribute to one or more of the following Institute’s activities:

Give a talk in a Departmental seminar series, or a paper in a conference;
Collaborate on a research project with a member, or members, of the Institute;
Provide an article for the Institute’s working papers series;
Develop a research proposal to apply for an external funding award through the Institute; and
Contribute to the SSAI’s network of contacts (academic, practitioner, policy-making and/or media).

A complete application will comprise:

The application form duly filled in (including Section 12, list of your Publications and Section 16, a Description of your Proposed Research including an explanation of why SOAS in particular is an appropriate venue for you to pursue this research).

The School may wish to interview the top three shortlisted candidates via Skype. Further details will be sent to the shortlisted candidates after the closing date.

Notification of competition result: All applicants will be notified by e-mail regarding the outcome of their application, generally by the end of October 2016. Applicants who submit an ineligible or incomplete application will not be contacted.

The School is authorised to release the names of successful fellows and their research topics as it deems fit.

Faculty of Education International Student Scholarship Criteria

Eligibility details

You can apply for this scholarship if you’re an international student and you:
have received an offer to study a Faculty of Education undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree
are commencing your studies in the upcoming semester. (Only EU70 students will commence in semester 2.)

You can’t apply if you’re:

enrolled in a double degree, dual award degree or research higher degree
sponsored by an Australian or overseas organisation
already receiving a scholarship provided by QUT or another organisation.

What you receive

You’ll receive:
a scholarship worth $2,000 to put towards your studies in your commencing semester.
We award four scholarships to students starting in Semester 1, and one scholarship to students starting in Semester 2.

How to apply

You must:
complete the faculty-of-education-international-scholarship-application
write a 300-word outline in English on:
your reasons for choosing a QUT Education degree
how you believe this degree will help you achieve your career aspirations.
provide transcripts for previous academic studies which have been translated into English and certified

email these documents to the Faculty of Education Development Office on or before the application deadline.

Applications close at 5pm on Friday 10 June 2016.

What happens next

A team within the faculty will assess your application. We award scholarships based on:
academic merit
evaluation of your 300-word outline.
We’ll email you to notify you of your result by 27 June 2016.
If you’re successful, we’ll also send you instructions on how to claim your scholarship.

Humburg University – Academic Scholarships for Master Students

Humburg University Academic scholarships for Master students

Hamburg University of Applied Sciences awards scholarships to academically strong foreign students studying in Master degree programmes*.

Scholarship:   up to 400 Euros/month (4 months per semester)
The scholarship is for one semester; an extension for a further two semesters is possible.

Scholarship prerequisites:

Applicants must be enrolled in a Master’s programme* at the HAW Hamburg
Applicants must have completed their school education outside of Germany or have graduated from a Studienkolleg
Applicants must not be eligible for BAföG**

* Master students in Design (Illustration, Communication Design, Fashion- Textile and Costume Design) cannot apply for a scholarship.
** If you fulfill the basic application criteria according to §8 of the BAföG law (Federal Training Assistance Act), you will not be eligible for this scholarship according to the scholarship regulations. This is independent of whether you actually receive funding from BAföG or not.

Academic requirements:

Applicants must fulfill one of the following academic requirements:

a) Non-engineering students: completion of a Bachelor’s degree or Diplom in the “Regelstudienzeit” with a grade of at least 2.0 (or equivalent to German system, if the degree is from outside Germany)

b) Engineering students: completion of a Bachelor’s degree or Diplom in the “Regelstudienzeit” with a grade of at least 2.2 (or equivalent to German system, if the degree is from outside Germany)

c) All grades for the first semester in a Master’s programme at the HAW Hamburg better than at least 2.5, also for extensions.

Ideally students should also have completed an internship and have been involved in a social project or worked as a volunteer.
