Gandhi Institute of Advanced Computer & Research (GIACR) formerly “IACR” was established in the year 1999. Initially, the MCA course was introduced. In 2001 the B. Tech. Degree Course was introduced with three branches namely Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE). In 2002 Mechanical Engineering and in 2003 Civil Engineering courses were further introduced. We are proud to declare that we have the full fledged departments of CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering since 2004 and MBA was introduced in 2006.

Eligibility Criteria

For Admission to First Year Bachelor Programme in Engineering/ Technology:
Passed or appearing in 2012, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Geology / Statistics. The candidate should have passed individual subject and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
