Step 1: Download

Step 2: Complete

Read the application form carefully and fill each section of the Word format document by using Arial, font size 10. Do not alter the format of the application form.

Your statement of purpose should explain why you chose the French institution to which you have applied or have been admitted, as well as your future plans upon completion of the course. Explain why you would be a worthy candidate for the scholarship. Mention how you initially came to know about the Charpak program. Your statement of purpose should be one page long (maximum length). Important – ensure that your statement of purpose is original.

Step 3: Submit

Send the following documents to scholarship.france@gmail.com :

Application form duly filled, signed, printed and scanned
Scanned copy of the first page of your passport (with photo and expiry date). If you will be getting your passport after the deadline, please attach passport application proof.
Full Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages)
Scanned copy of the admission/acceptance letter from the French higher education institution. If you have not received it before the deadline, attach an email correspondence to show that you are in the process of getting the acceptance letter from them.
Attested (by a gazette officer or the Head of the institute where you studied/are studying) scanned copies of mark sheets of Higher Secondary School (XII), Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (including those of completed semesters of the ongoing degree)
French language certificate if any (from Alliance Française in India or any recognised university or Xth marks card if French was your second language)

The subject of your message to scholarship.france@gmail.com should mention the type of program you are applying to i.e. Masters. Photos of documents instead of clear scans will not be accepted.

Charpak Master Program Scholarships

This scholarship is designed for one to two years of studies in France at the Master’s degree level for all streams and fields of study.

The Charpak Master Program offers two kinds of scholarships based on merit:

a) Charpak AME Scholarship (Allocation Mensuelle d’Entretien):
• Living allowance 615 euros
• Medical insurance coverage (approx 300 euros / academic year)
• Student visa fee waiver (16,500 INR approx)
• Assistance to find affordable student accommodation

Note: Full tuition fee waiver at public universities or partial tuition fee waivers by other institutions, can be granted according to their individual policies

Please note that no reason will be given for rejection of an application. The French Embassy is not obliged to respond to candidates whose applications are incomplete. Incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration.
Applicant must:

be an Indian national and reside in India
be a student currently enrolled at an Indian Institution of higher learning or a young professional employed in a company for a maximum of 3 years at the time of application
be 30 years old maximumat the time of application
the course must take place in France. If you have one semester or more of studies in another country, the scholarship will not be provided during that period.

An exception will be made for Charpak scholarship holders who are currently completing their M1 in France. They may reapply for a second year of funding in order to complete their M2. There is no automatic renewal of the scholarship at the M2 level. Acceptance will be subject to academic performance at the M1 level and a new statement of purpose.

Non-scholarship holders currently pursuing M1 in France are not eligible for the scholarship.

Selection Procedure:Your application will be selected on the basis of your academic excellence, as well as the consistency and quality of your statement of purpose. There is no CGPA / percentage cut-off for the scholarship. Knowledge of French will be an asset but is not mandatory. A tie-up between your current Indian institution and your future French institution will also be an asset.

Scholarships are only available for full-time courses listed above 2016/17 academic session
Scholarship eligibility criteria is course specific please check table above if you are eligible
To qualify for the scholarship, you must be accepted onto the course (meeting the set entry criteria, please check course details for entry requirements)
For the undergraduate courses, the scholarship will only apply to the first year and not in any subsequent years. For all students the scholarship will not be available in a repeat year.
The scholarship will act as a tuition fee discount to be applied at the point of enrolment
Applicants do not need to apply for the scholarship, the award will automatically be confirmed for eligible students
The scholarship is valid only for entry into the 2016/17 academic session – scholarships cannot be deferred by the applicant until a subsequent academic year
Applicants must have no outstanding debt to the university
Students in receipt of the scholarship will not be eligible for any other scholarships or awards. No cash alternatives will be offered and the scholarship cannot normally be transferred to any other course at DMU or to a nominated recipient
This scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship offered at DMU, only one will apply
Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the university
Scholarships are only available to students paying their own fees, sponsored students will not be eligible
DMU reserves the right to cancel any scholarship which has been claimed fraudulently and to apply the full tuition fee
Where a student terminates or interrupts their studies, prior to the completion of their course, both the tuition fees and scholarship will be pro-rated, based on the student’s last date of attendance

e-Medhabruti Scholarship for Odisha students Eligibility

Eligibility: All the students of Odisha are eligible for e-Medhabruti scholarship  if they fullfil certain criteria decided by the government of Odisha.

A Student already in receipt of any other scholarship awarded by the State Government cannot avail one of these scholarship unless he/she opts to forgo the other scholarship.

In case requisite number of candidates are not available under any categories of scholarship, then the balance number scholarship shall be awarded to other eligible applicants of the same scholarship category.

If an eligible student could not be able to apply for scholarship during 1st year of his/her higher study for any reason, he/she can apply for scholarship in subsequent year. In case scholarship shall be awarded for remaining year/years of study.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The students must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
  • The annual income of parents from all sources shall not exceed Rs.6.00 lakh
  • A student already in receipt of any scholarship cannot avail these scholarships unless he/she opts to forgo the other scholarship.
  • For girl students pursuing +2, +3 & P.G. courses the minimum eligibility marks for applying scholarship is 60 %.
  • Similarly for boy students the minimum eligibility marks required for applying scholarship is in the following manner.
    (i) for +2 course :70 %
    (ii) for +3 & P.G. courses :70 % ( for Science), 60 % ( for Arts & Commerce)
  • For technical & Professional courses marks secured in the last examination, is not a bar for applying scholarship as the rank obtained by the students in the respective entrance examination conducted by the State / Central Agencies /Universities plays vital role in selection procedure of the scholarship.
  • Special Girls’ Merit Scholarship is awarded to such meritorious girls who have taken admission in selected technical and professional institution of repute within and outside the state.

e-Medhabruti Scholarship for Odisha students

What is e-Medhabruti Scholarship ?: In order to encourage and motivate bright students of Odisha prosecuting higher professional studies like Engineering, Medical, BDS or other courses, the state government provides an e-Medhabruti Scholarship. Here an eligible candidate can get scholarship amount per annum as per the scholarship type they apply. In a year 24,544 bright students can avail the scholarship. The objective of this project is to provide incentive and facilities to meritorious students of Odisha who have secured admission in Technical / Medical institutions inside or outside the state or in the national institutes of repute in accordance with the terms and conditions specified by the Government of Odisha.

Understanding e-Medhabruti:An advertisement will be published by the Government of Odisha for Medhabruti mentioning the eligibility criteria of the students and the last date for application submission. Students can then register themselves online for scholarship and should submit the printed form along with the necessary documents to the schools, colleges or university for the same. Then the school/colleges/institutions will validate the forms from their college login regarding the following specifications:

  • If he is already availing the scholarship or not.
  • Check for student of Odisha persuading course outside Orissa.
  • Check for permanent resident of Odisha.
  • Check for annual income of parents.
  • Check whether the information entered matches with the hard copy or not.

Overview:Newcastle University is delighted to announce eight scholarship awards for students from India. This award is available for high achieving students applying for entry onto any postgraduate Master’s degree programme at Newcastle University.

Eligibility Criteria:In order to be eligible to apply for one of these scholarships you must satisfy the following conditions:

  • you must be a Indian national and have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes
  • you must hold a Conditional or Unconditional offer on any master’s degree programme at Newcastle city campus
  • you intend to register to start your studies during the 2016-17 academic year
  • you are a self-funded student and not in receipt of other University or external awards
  • you must have an average of 60% or above in your Bachelors degree. If you are yet to complete your degree we will assess you on the basis of your results to date, providing you have achieved an average of 60% or above and you are expecting to maintain/ increase this in your final semester/year. Students with CGPA scores can also apply if your percentage equivalence is 60% and above
